Celebratory Open House to Feature Benefit Performance of Red Riding Hood
For Immediate Release: April 17

Durham, NC – Vault Theatre is celebrating its new home with a special benefit performance of Red Riding Hood on Saturday, May 17 at 10AM, followed by an Open House to introduce the community to its new studio space.
The Durham-based theatre company will now operate from its new 2,500 sq. ft. studio located at 4221 Garrett Dr. in Durham. Vault Theatre will hold weekly classes, performances, rehearsals, and other exciting events at the new studio space, furthering its mission to provide a home for young artists.
“From the very beginning, Vault Theatre was built on the belief that theatre holds value, just like a vault,” says Lauren Sale, Producing Artistic Director. “Every class, every rehearsal, and every performance is an exchange of creativity, time, and perspective between artists and audiences. Now, we have a place that truly reflects that mission, a space where young artists can grow, families can connect, and stories can come to life.”
Benefit Performance
Proceeds from the performance will support Vault Theatre’s new space and expanded programming, helping create more opportunities for young artists. Tickets are limited, so visit https://www.vaulttheatre.org/season to secure yours today.
Red Riding Hood is a laugh-out-loud, one-wolf retelling of the classic fairy tale starring Jade Arnold as Wolfgang and Samantha Scipioni as The Delivery Person, stage managed by Katie Jo Fulks and directed by Vault Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director, Lauren Sale.
Open House Celebration
The doors will open for a community-wide Open House from 11:15 AM – 1 PM, offering families a chance to explore the new space, get creative, and experience the joy of theatre firsthand. Guests can play theatre games, design sets, dress up for fun photo ops, and contribute their own artistic touch to the space!
"This event is about more than just a performance, it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the future of Vault Theatre," says Sale. "We can’t wait to share our new home and invite families to be part of what’s next!"
