Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D, is a tabletop roleplaying game where you take on the role of a character you customize, create and play through a game over multiple sessions. The story is mostly a series of encounters and situations that you are walked through by a Dungeon Master. The outcomes of the game are based on dice rolls which are modified by the character stats you chose!

Vault Theatre is thrilled to partner with the Guild of Adventures to host this class in our new studio. Much like theatre, D&D is a collaborative act of storytelling with equal parts preparation and improvisation. The Dungeon Master sets the stage, the dice deliver surprise plot twists, and the players make choices in character to drive the story forward. It’s ensemble storytelling at its most imaginative, where every decision shapes the next scene.

This class is created and delivered by Guild of Adventures. Learn more about Guild Adventures at their website here.

Sessions are fast-paced and hands-on, pushing students to make bold choices, respond in the moment, and work with precision and clarity. This semester focuses on building a shared performance vocabulary and the discipline needed to step into a demanding rehearsal process. These classes are taught by a series of artists with expertise in acting, movement, music, stage combat, dialects, and more.
