Matthew Hager (he/him/his) is a Raleigh-based theatre artist with a passion for instilling students with a love for the arts. As an actor, Matthew has worked locally for Burning Coal (company member), NC Theatre, NC Symphony, Justice Theater Project, Honest Pint, Manbites Dog Theater, Deep Dish Theater, Bulldog Ensemble Theater, Aggregate Theatre Company, and many more. As a theatre educator, Matthew has worked on several school tours (Wrights of Passage [EBZB Productions], Shakescenes and Romeo & Juliet [Burning Coal], and Gazellephant and The Midsummer Experience [Aggregate]), and gone into the classroom as a teaching artist for NCT Conservatory and Aggregate Theatre Company. Matthew also has composed music for productions at NC Theatre Conservatory, Aggregate Theatre Company, Seed Art Share, Justice Theatre Project, Raleigh Little Theatre, and Honest Pint. For the past five years, Matthew has directed Justice Theater Project's summer camp production. In 2017, Matthew started Aggregate Theatre Company with the purpose of developing a younger theatergoing audience in the Triangle.
