Program Description

Act! Sing! Dance! and learn it all at MT Workshop! Young artists will rotate through an hour in each musical theatre discipline to learn technique and rehearse for a final performance! This all-encompassing class is designed to build confidence, learn how to work as an ensemble, and put it all into practice with a final workshop presentation for friends and family at the end of the 10-weeks.  This winter/spring, MT Workshop will work on Willy Wonka, Kids! The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth. With plenty of parts to go around, including featured roles as well as ensemble parts Willy Wonka, Kids is ideal for productions with young artists of all ages!  ​January 13th-March 16th Saturdays from 10am-1pm  Ages 7-18  ​ MT Workshop will take place in the classrooms at Durham Friends Meeting house at 404 Alexander Ave., Durham, NC 27705. The final day, March 16th, will take place at Durham Arts Council for the final presentation in PSI Theatre at DAC. 

Cancellation Policy

Vault Theatre's classes and camps are eligible for a refund less a 5% booking fee up to two weeks prior to class starting. Within two weeks of the start date, classes and camps are non-refundable. All tickets purchased for Vault Theatre performances are non-refundable. Classes and tickets are paid in full at time of booking. Prior to booking, please email info@vaulttheatre.org if you would like to arrange a payment plan for eligible classes and camps.
