MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP: ASSISTANT TEACHING ARTIST
The Assistant Teaching Artist has a very important role at MT Workshop! Assistant TAs will travel to each arts activity (drama, dance, music) with the same group of young people each Saturday. During classes, Assistant TAs support the lesson of the Teaching Artist, while supporting students and providing examples and helping to learn material. Assistant Teaching Artists are paid $15 per hour from 9:45-1:15pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working young people in any capacity including babysitting, volunteering, or teaching

Experience in Musical Theatre a plus!

Interest in education and teaching artist work a plus!
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be an example for a group of young people

Support Teaching Artists' lesson plan by example

Help support positive choices by young people in class

Keep a positive example for students and teaching artists!

Collaborate with other Teaching Artists
ABOUT MT WORKSHOP
DATES: January 7th-March 18th. (no class 1/14)
TIMES: 9:45am-1:15pm
LOCATION: Holy Infant Church (5000 Southpark Dr. Durham, NC 27713)
DESCRIPTION: Act! Sing! Dance! and learn it all at MT Workshop! Young artists will rotate through an hour in each musical theatre discipline to learn technique and rehearse for a final performance! This all-encompassing class is designed to build confidence, learn how to work as an ensemble, and put it all into practice with a final performance for friends and family at the end of the 10-weeks.
This Spring, MT Workshop will rehearse and perform Frozen, Kids! MT Students will have a blast bringing these beloved characters to life, belting their favorite songs, and dancing their way through Arendelle each Saturday!
PAY
$15 per hour.
